Lesbians - Lena Kunz
A few weeks ago, I had the chance to step in front of Lena Kunz’s camera for a project that felt like far more than just a photoshoot.
Lena’s series, Lesbians, brings together individuals who, for the most part, had never met before the moment the shutter clicked. Rather than simply documenting an existing group, the project actively builds a temporary community in real-time. It relies on the idea that photographs don't just record reality—they help shape how we imagine ourselves and each other. By creating visual narratives of lesbian visibility, the series asks how photography can contribute to new forms of collective imagination.

Standing in front of the lens alongside people who started as strangers and left as a shared circle was a quiet, powerful experience.
The exhibition is officially opening, and seeing the final work brought to life as large-format prints is incredible.
